Some day he'll come along, The man I love. And he'll be big and strong, The man I love. And when he comes my way, I'll do my best to make him stay. "The Man I Love" George & Ira Gershwin
1994 Artistic Program, choreographed by Sandra Bezic, also was performed during the 1994/95 Stars On Ice tour. Music: "The Man I Love" by George and Ira Gershwin, sung by Ella Fitzgerald.
"I wanted to capture what I watched on a daily basis and the way they looked at each other. Like lovers stealing kisses in a park. It was a very simple number. I didn't want choreography to get in the way of the relationship. It was the quintessential love song." Sandra Bezic
For me, it was one of the first G&G programs I saw and it was really impressive. It is really simple, but it touches you. Really touches. Just because of its simplicity. You can understand it, there's no need to explain what they mean by this or by that, you can just relax and watch two people who have a perfect relationship, gliding on the ice. They are not even skating. Everything is so smooth, the movements seem so easy. Ohhh... lucky those of you who saw it "alive", on tour or somewhere else. It must be ten thousand times more beautiful than it is on TV screen. I envy you. Because this program is really magical.
